food processing industry Podravka has developed on the tradition of
agricultural production and the beginnings of industrial fruit and
vegetable processing after World War II. The production programme
consisted of fruit processing. In the mid fifties, following great
economic difficulties, Podravka's experts created dehydrated soups
and the original Vegeta. Alongside with the introduction of new products
to the market, marketing principles started being applied in business
activities. The permanent and everyday recognition of customers desires
and - in accordance to them - the creation of products, enabled the
growth of Podravka into one of most significant producers of soup,
food additives and baby food in Central and Eastern Europe. Today
Podravka is a big modern company with 6500 employees which produces
some sixty product groups with a developed market brand. There are
