Users can fax from any Windows application using the
FaxPlus/Open printer driver. Simply select the FaxPlus/Open printer in
your application and print.
In a pop-up dialog window you type the dial-up number or select a single
recipient or group from the personal or company-wide address books. Optionally
cover page information and transmission order parameters may be specified.
Or use the DDE interface to specify fax numbers and other parameters.
This is particularly helpful when you send serial letters. You may monitor
the transmission results in the FaxPlus/Open Client or be notified by
a standard Desktop message.
The printer driver and the client can be installed for any number of users
without any extra charge. An unlimited license is included in the base
package.

When faxing from your desktop, you can key in the destination fax number, but how to specify in a mainframe print job? With FaxPlus/Open it's easy. For each recipient you include in your data stream a so-called "FX-string". This is nothing more than a tag like "FX" followed by the dialup information. The only mandatory parameter is the fax number, but about 40 optional parameters are available.
