LUIDIZED BED REACTOR (FBR)
BLACK LIQUOR TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY

Black liquor is the wastewater during pulping in the paper industry. It seriously pollutes the environment if it is discharged without treatment. The traditional alkali recovery system has the shortcoming of high investment, high operation cost and unsteady operation. This is especially true for the medium and small pulping mills using non-wood raw materials such as straw, reed and bagasse.¡¡

Fluidized bed raactor (FBR) technology has become a mature black liquor treatment technology. ECI and its partners in the U.S. and India have been developing and promoting the technology for years. Two FBR plants for the pulping plants with the total pulpign capacity of 50,000 ton/year have been set up in 1996 and 1998. Both have been operating well. ECI is to set up a FBR plant in China in 1999. For more details, please download the free presentation.¡¡
