Black liquor is the wastewater during pulping in the paper industry. It seriously pollutes the environment if it is discharged without treatment. The traditional alkali recovery system has the shortcoming of high investment, high operation cost and unsteady operation. This is especially true for the medium and small pulping mills using non-wood raw materials such as straw, reed and bagasse.¡¡
ECI SinoHTrust has been developing and promoting black liquor treatment technologies for years and CBS technology is one of them. In a FBR system, coke, black liquor and additives are milled into CBS, which is sprayed normal boilers or furnaces for combustion. The burnt ash is causticized.
